Abstract

The Manual of School Archives is a technical-scientific product that was developed from the reflections and discoveries obtained in the master's thesis entitled "Organization of School Archives: orientations from the archival perspective". This dissertation was defended in the Graduate Program in Document and Archives Management (PPGARQ) and brought to light the perception about the absence of effective document management practices in schools, as well as the need to improve the management of school archives. From these findings, it was perceived that the management of school documents is still a challenge to be faced. In order to contribute, in this sense, the Manual of School Archives was developed as a research effort. It was designed to help non-specialized professionals who work in schools to deal with the management of documents, promoting an appreciation of the school documentary heritage.

Mestre em Gestão de Documentos e Arquivos pelo PPGARQ/UNIRIO. Graduada em Arquivologia pela UNIRIO e em História pela UFRJ. Assistente Executivo da Secretaria de Estado de Educação do Rio de Janeiro (SEEDUC).

Priscila Ribeiro Gomes, UNIRIO

Doutora em Educação pela UNICAMP. Graduada em Arquivologia e Mestre em Educação pela UNIRIO. Especialista em planejamento, implementação e gestão em Educação a distância pela UFF. Professora Associada do Departamento de Arquivologia da Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO).
