This article analyzes the recommendations of the final reports of the truth commissions of the states of Amazonas, Amapá, and Pará, in light of the pillars of transitional justice: memory, truth, reparation, and justice. The research highlights how the regional commissions contributed to clarifying serious human rights violations that occurred during the military dictatorship, such as the genocide of the Waimiri-Atroari people and the repression of the Araguaia Guerrilla. Considering the regional context, marked by silencing, erasure, and the absence of consolidated state structures, the study identifies strategies adopted by the state commissions of the northern region, the challenges faced, and the different degrees of institutionalization of the recommendations.
