challenges for preserving the institutional memory of the Pinacoteca de São Paulo

Abstract

This article analyzes the challenges arising from technological transformations in archival collections, highlighting the relevance of preserving institutional and cultural memory. The methodology includes bibliographic and documentary research, as well as content analysis. As a result, it presents a proposal for strategies based on digital preservation standards to ensure qualified access to the content produced and stored on VHS by the Pinacoteca de São Paulo between 1986 and 2006.
