This article aims to reflect on educational initiatives in archives and records management. A bibliographical study was conducted to understand records management and the integrated archiving approach, attempting to identify how and if educational initiatives can be part of records management. The integrated archiving approach identified a holistic view of records management, as proposed by Rousseau, Couture, and Ducharme. Seven basic archival functions are defined, including dissemination. Dissemination is presented in three dimensions: editorial, cultural, and educational. This demonstrates that educational initiatives can be implemented in records management as a way to strengthen the archive-society relationship, effectively communicating organic information.
