Recomendarions for the preservation of digital archival documents produced by the State of Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

This research aims to recommend actions that can be used in the preservation of digital archival documents produced by the State of Rio de Janeiro. Based on the analysis of the work of organizations considered responsible for regulating digital preservation, it was possible to identify the negative aspects in the state scenario. Specific recommendations were then established for the preservation of these documents, with guidelines aimed at better involving State agents to improve the situation, as well as ratifying RDC-Arq as the best alternative for creating an infrastructure capable of securely and responsibly storing digital archival documents and analyzing cloud computing as a partner in this context.
